When you interact with Japa Assist via WhatsApp, we may collect:

  • Messages you send: The content of your WhatsApp messages, including your migration goals, target countries, budget, and personal circumstances you choose to share.
  • WhatsApp identifier: Your WhatsApp phone number, used to maintain conversation continuity and save your profile across sessions.
  • Usage data: Timestamps, message frequency, and which migration routes you asked about — to improve our AI responses.

We do not collect: financial information, passwords, government ID details, or any information beyond what you voluntarily share in chat.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide personalised migration guidance and recommendations
  • Maintain context across your conversations (profile memory)
  • Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI responses over time
  • Detect and flag fraudulent or high-risk migration schemes
  • Send you follow-up guidance or updates relevant to your journey (if you opt in)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third-party marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing migration guidance.

4. Data Storage and Security

All third-party providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your conversation data and profile for up to 24 months from your last interaction to maintain continuity of your migration journey.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp with “DELETE MY DATA” or by emailing hello@japaassist.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
